Yeshiva Highlights
For the two weeks ending Parshas Tetzaveh:
It has been another great, action-packed two weeks in Yeshiva! The morning seder has been buzzing in anticipation for Purim and the Mid-winter trip. Every morning, Rabbi Aharon has been making special freshly cooked breakfast to kick-off morning seder! It's a pleasure to be in the Yeshiva's Beis and get in on the learning! Additionally, we have been having unbelievable Thursday night Kumzitz's to help us prepare for Shabbos, so anyone in town who can stop by, we would be happy to have you!
We took a trip to Bnei Brak and had the amazing opportunity to hear some words of inspiration and do a Q&A with HaRav Moshe Hillel Hirsch shlit"a, the Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Slabodka. Afterwards we went to eat lunch and play flag football in Ganei Yehoshua in Tel Aviv, as we enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery of the park. Finally, we finished off the amazing day with an all-you-can-eat Meat dinner at Papagaio's in Talpiot, sponsored by a donor who helped make this amazing Bnei Brak trip happen. We also had the chance to daven at the Kever of Shmuel HaNavi and experience the amazing view of Yerushalayim from the Kever. Additionally, we took a trip this past week to Chaifa to the cave of Eliyahu HaNavi. In Tanach, we learn that right before Eliyahu HaNavi defeats the fake nevi'im of avodah zara by challenging them to offer up korbanos, he stops at a cave near Har Karmel to daven to Hashem for success. We took "bubble" cable-cars up to the top, and slowly hiked down, stopping at amazing overlooks of Chaifa and the Mediterranean Sea to enjoy the beauty. We hiked down to Eliyahu's cave in time to catch mincha. Afterwards we went down to a little private stretch of beach to watch sunset.
Boruch Hashem, with more than half of the year already gone, it's amazing to look back and appreciate all the great memories and opportunities to grow thorughout the year.
Wishing all an amazing Shabbos!
Regards from the Lev.
