Yeshiva Highlights

It's been an exciting three weeks in Yeshiva, and it feels like we just started yesterday! We had an action-packed first two weeks. We kicked off the program with a grand Welcome BBQ at the "Lookout" view, where the sun was slowly setting over the Yerushalayim skyline. All the students and Rebbeim had a chance to shmooze and get to know each other over the delicious meat prepared by the Yeshiva's new chef. We began setting up the Yeshiva's state-of-the-art music room and equipment, while we all put personal touches on the Yeshiva's dormitories and Beis Midrash to get it ready for the new year. We took our first week with Yeshiva orientation and our first trip to the Kotel. We began our afternoon programming with our first martial arts class with professional Systema trainer Chaim Mandel. The community joined together to make an unbelievable Rosh Hashana davening in the Lev Zion Beis Midrash, topped off with a Gala Kiddush for the students and community. The warmth of the Ramat Eshkol/Givat HaMivtar communities shined, as they met the students and happily extended invitations for Shabbos meals, Yuntifm and Simchas Beis Shoeivas. For a special "Tashlich" trip, the Yeshiva took a hike all the way down to the beautiful 'Dovid HaMelech' waterfall in Ein Gedi, and stopped off for a little dip in the salty waters of the Dead Sea. The boys helped prepare the Yeshiva's sukkah as we all got excited for Chag. After the first days of yuntif, we had the amazing privilige of going to an IDF Army base and running a volunteer Sukkos-BBQ for them. Now, as we get our final dances in at Simchas Beis Shoeiva's across Yerushalayim and at the Rabbi's houses, we are getting very excited to start up Yeshiva again!

Wishing you and your family a Chag Sameach!
